Welcome to Walloon Sailors Inc.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit Sailing School on beautiful Walloon Lake in Michigan. Located on the shore of Walloon in front of the Walloon Lake Country Club, the School is a perfect place to learn how to sail. The Club is located on Bear River Road, which exits Route 131 to the West about 5 miles south of Petoskey.
The Walloon Sailor’s season begins June 20, 2011 and continues until August 13, 2010. Classes begin at 10 am and end around 12:30 every Monday through Friday, excluding Thursdays. Thursdays are reserved for our beginning students. Students may register for class at the Sailor’s shed by the lake, directly down the hill from the country club.
The cost for lessons is $25 per day, or $100 for a week. Lessons are payable by cash, check, or Country Club Charge upon registration. For sailors wishing to participate in the races on Wednesday and/or Friday, there is an extra charge of $10 for each day of racing. The School accepts sailors age seven and above. Please bring your own life vest to each lesson.
